Customer service is outstanding. Our waitress was amazing. The food was great. My one and only complaint is the speed of the food and temperature of the beans and rice. Will definitely be back, maybe this time during the week...
We had dinner here on 4/11 around 5:30. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. The chips were nice and crisp, and the salsa was flavorful and had some spice to it. We had to try the guacamole deluxe. It was fantastic. The arrachera meat was cooked beautifully and paired perfectly with the creamy guacamole when atop a crispy pork rind. So good! I also tried the house margarita. It tasted like chemicals in my opinion, and I would not recommend it. But our meal was so delicious, that I will not let the drink bring down my rating. For my entree, I got the Pechuga Poblana, which was wonderfully cooked, fantastically seasoned, and covered in bacon and cheese! Very delicious. My wife got the chicken tortilla soup, which had a rich broth and was not too salty which can be the case with soups. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a good time.
This place is legit! Drinks are phenomenal, food is tasty, service is wonderful. Top place in Lubbock for sure! They have theme nights/specials. You have to try the Aguas Borrachas, Nachos Mitoteros, and flan!
Just wow!!! Came to drop off our son to TTU and he said we had to stop by El Mitote before we left. Let me just say lots of presence in their restaurant and their food. Service was awesome from the greeting to the waitress and the bus people. Everyone was so nice and when the food came out it was literally breath taking because of the presentation and the amount of food. We definitely want to come back on Wednesday because it said it was Karaoke night. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.
This place was great! We got great service, multiple people checked on us. The food was delicious! Yhe portions were so big we had to take some home. We went during the day, but their drink menu has a few things I would like to try. We will be back and I plan to bring a designated driver just in case. lol
I am visiting Lubbock, TX and a local happened to tell me about a great Mexican restaurant that I had to try. What a great restaurant. I loved the food, and the drinks are out of this world. I had a couple of tostadas and a shrimp cocktail. AMAZING!!!!! Great job El Mitote and keep up the good work.
